About Lava Mohammadi

Lava Mohammadi is an Afghan human rights activist and freelance speaker based in Kiel, Germany. She currently serves as the Deputy Chairwoman of the Forum for Migration of the City of Kiel and is actively engaged in promoting inclusive policies and migrant participation.

She is the co-founder of the Afghan Stammtisch Schleswig-Holstein and serves as a spokesperson for the Women* Alliance within the Office for Gender Equality of the City of Kiel. In addition, she is a member of the Coalition Against Transnational Repression at Human Rights Watch Germany.

Her work focuses on human rights, social justice, and inclusive civic participation. She critically engages with issues such as migration policy, structural discrimination, and the lived experiences of marginalized communities.

Through lectures, workshops, and political education initiatives, she creates platforms for dialogue, raises awareness, and contributes to more informed and nuanced discussions on integration, diversity, and equal opportunity.
