About Khadija Amin
Khadija Amin is an Afghan journalist and women’s rights activist, currently serving as the President of the “Omid Azadi” (Hope for Freedom) Association. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, she is a mother of three and holds a degree in Journalism.
During her professional career in Afghanistan, she played a significant role in the media sector over four years, working with several local television networks including Maarif TV, Saba TV, and Loya Jirga TV. Her last position in Afghanistan was as a news anchor and reporter at the National Television of Afghanistan (RTA), where she focused particularly on issues related to women.
Following the rise of the Taliban, she was forced to leave Afghanistan and was evacuated to Spain with the assistance of the Spanish Ministry of Defense and international media support.
In Spain, she has continued her professional and advocacy work. She is a board member of Reporters Without Borders Spain and collaborates with Spanish media outlets such as 20 Minutos, Artículo14, and Medfeminiswiya. She also works with Telefónica and is currently involved in documentary production with Telefónica Broadcast Services (TBS).
In addition to her journalism career, Khadija Amin is a prominent advocate for women’s rights. She has delivered numerous speeches and participated in international conferences addressing the situation of Afghan women. Her efforts have been recognized with several awards in Spain for her advocacy and defense of women’s rights in Afghanistan.
