About Atefa Wasiq

Atefa Wasiq is an experienced professional in education, social development, and migrant affairs, currently based in Berlin, Germany, where she has lived and worked for over a decade. She has been actively engaged in educational, cultural, and social initiatives, contributing to community development and integration.

Prior to her migration to Germany, she served as a university lecturer in Afghanistan for eight years, playing a significant role in educating and mentoring the younger generation. She also worked as Deputy Director at the Bayan Media Center in Mazar-e-Sharif, an institution affiliated with the German Ministry of Defense, where she contributed to media development and communication initiatives.

In addition to her professional roles, Ms. Wasiq has been an active member of the Afghan Women’s Network, advocating for women’s rights and social participation.

Currently, she works in Germany as an educational and pedagogical advisor in schools, supporting students and families, particularly within migrant communities.
