About Abdul Jabar Ariyaee
Abdul Jabar Ariyaee is an experienced political and public sector professional with a strong background in government administration, diplomacy, and policy development. He has served in key leadership roles within the Afghan government and international institutions, contributing significantly to diplomatic relations, education policy, and community development.
As Minister Counsellor and Acting Ambassador at the Embassy of Afghanistan in Berlin, he played a vital role in strengthening Afghanistan–Germany bilateral relations, engaging with European Union member states, and coordinating with security institutions to represent Afghanistan’s strategic priorities at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
Previously, as Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Education in Kabul, he managed donor relations, coordinated major development programs, and led the Ministry’s Development Budget Committee overseeing approximately $250 million annually. He also represented the Ministry at high-level engagements.
In the media sector, he served as Chairperson of Mitra TV, where he led strategic planning and ensured compliance with national and international broadcasting standards while promoting human rights awareness.
In the UK, he worked as Director of the Ariana Afghanistan Community Association, supporting Afghan refugees through advocacy, research, cultural initiatives, and coordination with public officials and institutions.
